We are developing dedicated growing areas for seasonal flowers, foliage and decorative plant material, adding horticulture alongside our established livestock activities.
Our horticultural work includes propagation, planting, growing, cultivation and harvesting and preparation of produce grown on the holding throughout the seasons.
Flowers and foliage grown at Icknield Farm are harvested and prepared for use within the floristry and events sector, providing locally grown seasonal material.
Diversification is an important part of building a resilient and sustainable farming business. At Icknield Farm, horticulture allows us to make productive use of our land alongside our established livestock activities.
Growing flowers, foliage and other seasonal plant material creates an additional agricultural output from the holding, while making use of different areas of the farm throughout the year.
Horticulture also gives us the opportunity to develop a more diverse farming system, combining livestock production with locally grown crops and reducing reliance on a single agricultural enterprise.
Our aim is simple: to make productive use of the holding, grow more locally and continue developing Icknield Farm as a diverse working farm for the future.
A Personal Interest in Growing
Horticulture is also a particular interest of one of the farm’s owners, who has many years of experience working with flowers and plants. Developing this knowledge into growing on the holding was a natural progression and complements our existing agricultural activities.
What began as an interest in growing is now developing into another productive part of Icknield Farm, with a focus on seasonal flowers, foliage and decorative plant material.

If you are interested in us supplying seasonal flowers, foliage or other horticultural material, we’d be pleased to hear from you.
